If you are thinking of purchasing an AC in the summer, or a refrigerator, washing machine, or any large appliance – think twice before buying on Flipkart.
This is not just a normal review. This is my real experience after purchasing a Panasonic 1.5 Ton AC from Flipkart – and the problems I faced after that.
Why I Trusted Flipkart
Like many others, I believed Flipkart is:
- Reliable
- Customer-friendly
- Easy for returns and replacements
Based on that trust, I purchased a Panasonic 1.5 Ton AC.
But that trust did not last long.
Problems Started After Installation
At the time of delivery:
- I checked for external damages
- Indoor and outdoor units looked fine
This was an Open Box Delivery, and the delivery person only asked me to check for visible damage.
But during installation, the technician informed me:
- Important filters are missing inside the unit

Major Issues:
- AC is not cooling properly
This clearly shows the product was defective and incomplete.
Flipkart Support – No Responsibility
After noticing the issue, I contacted Flipkart support multiple times.
My experience:
- Called more than 20 times
- No proper response
- No clear solution
Every time, I was told:
“Contact Panasonic service center”
But the question is:
👉 Why should I go behind the brand when I purchased from Flipkart?
Open Box Delivery – Misleading System
Flipkart rejected my complaint saying:
“It is Open Box Delivery”
But the truth is:
- I was only told to check external condition
- No instruction to check internal parts
- No awareness about filters inside AC
Reality:
No normal customer can open and inspect internal AC parts during delivery.
This is clearly a process failure from Flipkart.
Worst Customer Care Behavior
One of the most disappointing parts of my experience was customer support.
I received a call from Flipkart support expecting help.
Instead:
- The executive spoke in an aggressive tone
- Repeated only one line: “Contact service center”
- Did not listen properly
- Did not answer my questions
Most importantly:
👉 She repeatedly told me: “Please cut the call”
Even when I was explaining my issue, she showed no interest in resolving it.
This behavior is completely unacceptable.
Time, Money and Mental Stress
Because of this issue, I faced:
- Poor cooling and discomfort
- Loss of time (multiple calls and follow-ups)
- Paid installation charges for defective product
- Mental stress and frustration
This is not what a customer deserves.
Flipkart’s Responsibility Issue
From my experience, it feels like:
- Flipkart focuses only on selling
- After delivery, responsibility reduces
- After installation, support becomes almost zero
Actual Situation:
- Before delivery [do not share the otp]→ Easy process
- After installation → No proper support
Important Advice for Buyers
If you are planning to buy appliances from Flipkart:
Before Buying:
- Think carefully
- Don’t fully depend on support
During Delivery:
- Try to check everything possible
- Ask questions clearly
After Installation:
- Be prepared for brand redirection
My Clear Request
Even after all these issues, I am asking only:
👉 Replacement OR Refund
Nothing more.
Final Conclusion
This experience completely broke my trust in Flipkart.
I regret choosing Flipkart for this purchase.
